New Way Lawyers has a committed board of directors.

Ben Devries is a founding director of New Way Lawyers.

Ben’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the University of Wollongong and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Deakin University.

Since 1999 Ben has worked for a major multi national mining company in a number of different management positions. A number of these roles have been based in Australia however he has also had roles based in in the United States, Canada and Namibia.

The board of directors benefits from the skills that Ben has in the areas of financial management and resource management.

Wendy Folland is a founding director of New Way Lawyers.

Wendy holds a Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences from the University of Sydney.

Throughout her career Wendy has worked for various public health organisations and non-profit organisations as she believes that these organisations provide important services to the community.

The board of directors benefits from the skills that Wendy has in the administration of non-profit programs and services

Carolyn Devries is a founding director and the CEO of New Way Lawyers.

Carolyn holds Bachelor Degrees in Law and Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Wollongong. She has also completed a Masters in Human Services, specialising in the management of non-profit organisations. Throughout her career Carolyn has worked in both the private sector and the non-profit sector.

In 2012, Carolyn was announced the winner of the White Pages Community and Government category of the Queensland Telstra Business Women’s Awards. The board of directors benefits from the experience that Carolyn has in developing and managing non-profit programs.


Jenny Claridge was appointed as a director of New Way Lawyers in 2010.

Jenny commenced studying law as a mature age student in 2001 through the Southern Cross University in Lismore. She was subsequently admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland to practice as a lawyer in 2010.

Jenny has previous employment experience in the public sector and the private sector but now works as a lawyer with New Way Lawyers.

Jenny brings a wide range of skills and experience to the board.
