We provide a free online service where New Way Lawyers experienced family lawyers spend their lunch break sharing legal information and responding to family law questions. Questions can be in relation to parenting, financial and property settlement, divorce, domestic violence, wills, powers of attorneys and family provision claims.
Our family lawyers are online every weekday between 12:00 noon and 1:00pm to provide information and answers. Outside of these hours questions can still be left but will be answered as soon as possible.
Just click on this link to join the group and have your question answered.
Our family lawyers are also able to share their skills and expertise with the community, in person, through our legal education and information sessions. These sessions will be facilitated by one of our experienced lawyers free of charge. If you’re part of a community group that may benefit from information on any aspect of Estate Law or Family Law, we would love to hear from you. We would be happy to arrange a tailored education and information session based on your requirements. Contact our office to enquire about booking a session for your group.
One way that we give back to our community is through our Justice of the Peace service.
We currently run our JP Service as part of the Seventeen Mile Rocks Business Connect which meets every 2nd Friday of the month, 9:30am to 10:30am at The Deck Café, 512 Seventeen Mile Rocks Road, Seventeen Mile Rocks QLD 4073. With this service we are able to witness the following documents:
Please be aware that:
From Friday 16 October 2020, New Way Lawyers will no longer be providing our Justice of the Peace service at Capalaba Park Shopping Centre. The Justice of the Peace service has been a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to the local community alongside our legal services provided on a non profit basis and due to the increasing demand for our legal services we will be concluding the service after 8 years. We thank the community for their support since the Justice of the Peace service was established in 2012. We also thank Capalaba Park Shopping Centre Management for their long-term supportive partnership and our dedicated team members and volunteers over the years who have made this service available week in and week out. We understand that a Justice of the Peace service will recommence at Capalaba Park Shopping Centre by the Queensland Government JPs in the Community Program from Thursday 29 October 2020.
New Way Lawyers will be providing a Justice of the Peace service as part of the Seventeen Mile Rocks Business Connect group at 17 mile church (512 Seventeen Mile Rocks Road, Seventeen Mile Rocks QLD 4073) every 2nd Friday of the month, 9:30am to 10:30am with COVID-19 safe measures in place. Please help us by not attending the service if you have travelled overseas within the last month or if you are experiencing a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath. When attending our service, please follow social distancing measures by keeping 1.5 metres away from any person and lining up as indicated by markings on the floor and by following any directions given by our team. We thank you for helping us ensure a safe and environment for us to provide this important service.
Thank you for your service. Yes, it has been very difficult – the most difficult period of my life. So I thank you and the New Way team for your professionalism, your prayers, and your work.

I could not have gotten through this year without New Way Lawyers. After one consultation with Ryan I knew that he and the staff there know everything there is to know about family law. I highly recommend them.
They have supported me and helped me put things in place so that I can be the best version of myself and the best mum I can be.
